Plot Outline:
Maria is the story of James and his 11 year-old daughter Molly. On their way home one winter’s evening they drive past a woman walking alone along a remote country road. Convinced the woman is her mother, whom she knows only from old photographs, Molly persuades James to stop and offer her a lift. While Molly tries to match her imagined mother to this mysterious stranger, James is forced to face a ghost from the past, and to question his expectations of love.
